There was a point in time where I would get so upset 

by seeing others win whom I didn’t feel were worthy of winning.

Somehow lying, cheating and stealing seemed to be the only way to get ahead.

And then there was me who can’t even sneak snacks into a movie theatre…

I didn’t understand it. It felt so unfair. I was mad. Mad at the world. 

 

But the truth is, I was mad at the me. Because I create my world…

I was mad because I couldn’t do those things and believed it was the only way

to actually win, to actually get ahead in life. That was on me and my mindset.

While I still can’t do those things because they are morally wrong to me,

I do have the ability to change my mindset about it to win regardless. 

 

Sure, it may seem like that’s the only way to win because we see 

others winning, despite doing things that we wouldn’t necessarily do or agree with.

But do we have any real proof that that’s true? That you have too? 

That there isn’t anyone anywhere who’s winning and not doing those things to get ahead?

 

Hell no! It’s a story we created in our own minds. Our own Hell…

But our mind can play tricks on us. And if we can create that story, 

then we can create a whole other story where we win regardless.

 

Think about this. If they can win while doing all of those things

that we deem as negative or could not do because it doesn’t align morally,

than wouldn’t we deserve to win even more? But we don’t…

Why? Because our mindset tells us it’s the only way to get ahead

and we “can’t do what it takes to get ahead”. 

 

Be true to you, always. And believe that you are worthy because you are!
