Focus

Trauma can make it really hard to think about. a future. 

It can feel like the only thing that exists is the present moment. 

It can even make you feel like there is no such thing as the future.

The thing is, even today is the future to from your trauma. 

Everyday is a new start, a new beginning, a future to your yesterday.

And you don't have to let the past have control of your future.

 

So I’m sitting here in meditation, thinking about life

 and it hits me to “focus on our dream life”…

And although yes, healing from the past is an important part of the process. 

We also need to focus on what it’s teaching us for our future…

What are the lessons learned? 

How can we use the negative experiences to shift to a different result? 

 

I’ve been through so much more than I’d even like to admit sometimes, 

and maybe someday I’ll tell my whole story but until then…

Let’s talk about my current story… 

That past story, ran my life for a long time. 

And not because I was necessarily “stuck in it” but because 

I didn’t know how to heal and get out.

My life felt like quicksand that was slowly sucking me in.

But I got really intentional about healing and shifted my focus on healing instead. 

I focused on a brighter future, knowing the past was over.

 

Now I’m not going to pretend healing is easy because it’s not. 

It’s literally the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to do in my entire life…

And I have had 2 babies naturally without pain meds so ummm ya lol.

It may not have been easy, but it has been sooooo well worth it.

I’m finally at a place where I am truly living, not just surviving…

 

And just like focusing my intention on healing, it’s time to shift the focus again.

This time, back on all of you… 

Those who watch my content, those who read my blog. 

Because I know deep down my healing wasn’t just for me….

It was just as much for you too. 

Anyways, here’s to happy healing and bright futures 🎉

Forgiving Yourself
