THE IN-BETWEEN

Coming into this new year feels extra heavy for me.

I think there’s a part of me that hoped I’d feel better.

Hoped I wouldn’t be in so much pain everyday still.

Wanted to feel more like thriving verse surviving.

But maybe that’s the whole point.

We’re all just trying to survive something.

A job we hate. A relationship that's failing.

A body that’s taken over complete control.

Things are heavy for a lot of us.

And for many of us a new year doesn’t

actually feel like a fresh start to anything.

It’s just another day and another struggle.

Now I don’t say all of this to make you feel bad for me.

I don’t say all of this to bring you down in the dumps.

But I do want you to know if you are feeling the weight,

you’re definitely not alone and you’re in the right place.

See if life were sunshine and rainbows all the time.

If we never had to struggle for anything in life.

We wouldn’t know how to appreciate the good.

We wouldn’t even know there was a difference.

And that doesn’t mean we have to sit in our shit.

That doesn’t mean things won’t get better.

It just means it's okay to not be okay sometimes.

Spiritual bypassing doesn’t actually benefit anyone.

Because healing doesn’t come from pretending things don’t hurt. It doesn’t come from trying to stay positive all the time.

It doesn’t come from pretending the bad feelings aren’t there.

It comes from accepting them with love and open arms.

It comes from resting when we need to rest.

And slowing down when we need to slow down.

It comes from compassion and understanding,

and not shaming ourselves into pushing harder.

Surviving doesn’t mean that you are failing.

It doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you!

Survival is the very foundation that everything else

is built on so that you can build and thrive.

So maybe this year isn’t about “new year, new me.”

Maybe it’s not about pushing and producing.

Maybe it’s about slowing down and honoring ourselves.

Maybe it’s about finally holding space for all of ourselves.

Giving ourselves enough room to breathe without pressure.

To slow down and figure out what living even feels like.

Letting go of everything that seems to be weighing us down.

And rebuilding from a place of love and acceptance.

Because we’ve always been more than enough.

Even if we didn’t always see our worth.

We’ve always been worthy of truly living.

Even when we felt like all we could do was survive.

This year might be a new beginning.

But it’s also another ending.

To everything that isn’t serving us.

Everything that isn’t helping us rebuild on solid ground.

If this hit you in all the feels…

I’m glad you’re here with me.

On this journey from surviving to thriving.

We’re stronger than we know and better together!

If you’re in a season where surviving is taking everything you have, I want you to know that you’re not broken

and you don’t have to walk it alone.

This space exists for the in-between moments.

The messy ones. The honest ones.

The ones where healing doesn’t look pretty or linear.

If this resonated, I hope you’ll stay awhile.

Read, reflect, rest—whatever you need.

You’re welcome here exactly as you are.
